HALL OF FAME

In one mall near to my home, there is an exhibition of famous people's pictures made by a single man

He hung it all across the basement floor

As today I went home from there and saw the pictures, I was thinking about having my picture between all the celebrated people

I want to be known as someone who are counted in this world

but that's so random

As I went to Hollywood a few years ago, I was astounded by all the stars on the walk of fame

But something that perplexing me was all the names sculpted on the stars are unknown to me.

They might be movie stars, singers, or directors from long time ago but they became infamous for new generation people

who's Jerry Lewis?

The pro:

Sometimes, we do need the faith that sometime we will be someone who participate in changing the world to be a better place. Someone who can influence people becoming into great leaders. Because every leader starts from a dream, faith, and correct actions.

The con:

Do we concentrated that much in this world that we need to be something instead of becoming God's something. We don't have to be famous or reknown so that we can influence people. God can work in each of us, in every state and every realm.

Micah 4:5
All the nations may walk in the name of their gods; We will walk in the LORD our God for ever and ever

Hey, great news

Dear friends,

Have you ever wait for a news, whether it is your exam result or response from you crush?

Well, you basically you never know for sure what is the waiting for you, right?

As this week I read The book of Jonah I found an interesting point, NEWS. It is not what you watch everyday on TV during your dinner together with your family, no, it is something more enermous than that.

In Hebrew, Jonah means dove. What is it in your mind when you heard that kind of bird? Sure it is, NEWS. People in the past used it as a sole communication media to send message or news to people in distant. Do you remember that God told him to go to Nineveh to send the good news from God. But what did he do back then? He ran away, He kept the message for himself rather than share it with people.

And you know what, we have the good news also and God not randomly chose people

Jonah 1:1

The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: " Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me. "

Do you think God accidentally chose Jonah and let him go just like that? No! He is being faithful for him and He knows that he is capable for accomplishing that.

In world, we oftenly had the opportunity to give good news for people. We are so excited because we know that the people who we are about to inform is about to get the extreme happiness.

And now, God entrusting us with the GREATEST NEWS ever in this world, the salvation! and where are we right now? Did we hide it under our bed or did you give it to your friend because you thought that you were not good enough? He has chosen you because He believed in you and He himself is in you to make sure you are ready to bear all things.

" Therefore Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father and The Son, and The Holy Spirit"

So, go and spread the good news, but be careful.... The whale are watching!

It has been almost half a year since the last time I blogged and now I work at a multilevel marketing, time goes on, doesn't it?

I am back to lovely town, Jakarta

Met my parents and dear friends

Reconnected with the church here

met new brothers and sisters

Monday, yes today is Monday

I started the day, drove my parents to their friend's house as they went to Thailand today

It is quiet at home today and suddenly I missed TV sound and my dad's playing nintendo DS after a tiring day

I'm being such a melancholist today

continuing the day

I felt so sick today, like there are babies inside my stomach kicking out

Well, tensions happened today

Intimidation, prejudice, demeaning words

All eyes looked down on me, everywhere....

My other side said that the world hate me today

Just get out, refrain and free yourself

There were things coming out from my head

What I love about my God is His faithfulness to all His children

He knows that when I'm alone, it's easy for me to compromise

I went to the gym today, joined body combat class and trying to let loose the emotion

Whom should I punch or strike?

The one whom should I hit is myself

To remind that there is nothing that can soothe me, except Him

Sometimes I love the moment when I am alone

I don't have to think about anything, God enters my mind easily

He just said simple things about life

World will never be your friend, but how you respond that matters

How you would nod to people who yell at you

How you smile to those denigrating eyes

How you say I love you when they say I hate you

Everything is beautiful if you could see it from His eyes

So am I ready for tomorrow?

No, but God said YES Denny!

I won't be there physically, just spend little space for me in your heart and I will bless your day

They said I am being too nice to be a working people

but wouldn't it be good if everybody fell the same way?

I am not going to change

Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed bythe renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect

missing something

I miss something precious in my life lately

They way it hit me gently and lastly it soothed

I miss it so much, I miss being REBUKED

I'm so happy that I was reminded about being a nice person

but the way it was exposed and how they are playing with their proud in it

made me....broke

So grateful that I have Him, who taught me to forgive and apply love to whoever they are

me myself is not a perfect person

it's hard for me to be better if there are no one beside me who wants me to be a better person

make it worst if they talked about you with your absence

Ecclesiastes 4:10

For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow

But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up

humbly I said

"Oh God I need your help

Thank you for the people who was there for me

cared about me and wanted me to be a better person

but now I'm alone

just a simple request

for me to learn more from your people

so that I can bless more"

the greatest story in your life

We just celebrated easter yesterday and hope that our spirit might not die out

God has risen and He will accompany us till the end of time

This time I am not emphasizing on that point

it is days before that

How God suffered, but once again I am not stressing on his suffering

I want us to do some flashbacks and let's discuss

One point about yesterday's sermon which penetrate into my deepest understanding

A story about a girl who gave all her attentions, financially and emotionally towards her sister and lastly.... She got the opposite things from her, disappointment and rejection

How broke she was

but one thing about that, she got a privilege, to experience what God has felt on the cross

On the way to the cavalry, God hold the heaviest burden ever

not only the pain, but He brought all the sins, the present and the future on His back

and what worst.... Father left Him for being full of sin

He was doing that all for you and like what the girl felt, disappointment and rejection

but He is 100% human but also 100% God who has the truest respond

He brought it all to the cross and present it all to Father

Now..... Let us think about our life lately

How we really crave for acknowledgement and hope that people might do the same thing for what you have done

When you don't get what you expect

You feel sad and disappointed, finally you failed to apply unconditional love

too bad man!

one thing about investment and sacrifice

till now you have been investing your time, your money, and your attention towards people

and you feel that it's enough to make them happy, to feel the Godly love in you

I said NO!

There are the second level which I have mentioned before, sacrifice...

still, you give the same thing: time, money, and attention

but you erase the "I" factor in it

You give your money even though you're in a hard financial condition

You give your time even though you're time is so limited, there are more works to do

but you sincerely give it all

with one prayer, so that His name glorified

So, are ready to feel the greatest story ever in your life?

prepare your heart and God will open the door of opportunity to you

as return, He'll give you blessings and everlasting love

for you are focusing on Him and let Him focus on you

today is the last training day for easter's choir

almost all came to prepare for their best performance
to worship God who rise this day 2000 years ago
yea, many people, each of them with each personality
with each flaw and each strength
some may irritating and some may encouraging

and in one point I felt like I couldn't control my emotion

but somehow I let God help me through it with deep understanding

a new lesson for today

do you have people around you who always have a negative thinking?

looking at you like he's the best

try correcting all that you say and every argument that comes out from your mouth

do you have people around you who always put more oil into the frying pan?

helping you to make a false respond

try conforming that you are in the most just position

do you have people around you who always talk about God?

but behind that, their life is far away from His standard

try influencing many people with their proud understanding

that's the world

for me witnessing all that is another privilege

why?

some people may fall in their own way

countering all discomforts given

listening to all misleading whisper

and making a bad respond

well, let me tell you something

God put those people around you so that you may get fast process

how we can stay in silence when we have the opportunity to fight back

how we should learn to love when we were detested

let it be your character, let them see and let God work using your life towards them

how we can think how people's words sometimes may delude

because they talk what based on experience, not based on the words

let us rely on His words alone

imagine this world is filled with people of great character alone

this place would not be a great place to learn

nothing to be grateful for

and even me, an imperfect person may be a blessing for other people for being mean

so that they can learn about patience

and God will lead me back because that's my nature

I can't live long in the other side

proverbs 27:17

as iron sharpens iron

so one person sharpens another

see the world

see how vary people are

but the most important is how we respond toward each of them

make a right one!

RELY

It's been a week since I accomplished my work outside the city

I remember very well how I was so afraid to start the job

The first thing I was about to do is looking for a substitution for me, another person who is more capable in doing the job

I doubt myself

I told myself that I couldn't do it

but my own laziness led me to the job myself

I ended up saying "yes" to it

The first task was not really hard, to find companies from the internet, look up their profile and note their address and telephone number

It was easy since I have done it a lot in my university life

but.... the second one

I have to call each of it and make a fixed schedule, from estimating time and conform with all the companies

sounds easy right? how about if I said they all speak Chinese?

my biggest fear since I stepped on this land of Panda

Some of them can understand my Chinese and some of them was struggling to understand

and again my mind said no, I refused to say I can do it

and then came the time when I have to go to the company myself to talk with the managers

the good thing was I could see the field I'm about to work on

the bad thing was only 20% that I could understand

turned me down really bad

Finally the company representatives came and the journey began

cold sweat, shaking, trembling

I used to talked without any other presence, and now I have to translate with the boss' presence

I screwed up few times but most of the times I could translate it well

I lost on the read a few times but finally I can find a way to the companies

I told God I couldn't do it, I was so afraid and almost gave up many times

but he soothed me by saying, "RELY ON ME"

I don't know how far I can do, I don't know what is His plan in my life

When all I can see is darkness, He opened my eyes and helped me through the harsh road

That's what some of us may miss

there are opportunities ahead of us

it's free and the result is worthless, what money can't buy

we felt that we can't we can't and we can't because we're not that good

listen!

no one can calculate their own capabilities

we're so limited, even to know ourselves is so that limited

and only the one who gave the opportunity knows

and we only have to rely on Him

Finally I went home after accompanied them to the airport

I brought back my first salary here and tons of experience

I said to myself that I need not all the money, the opportunity and experience are far enough for me

free expensive food, good accommodation, and extra money couldn't be compared with them

came home with a new perspective, to humble myself, not to rely myself but to rely wholly to Him

Psalm 37:5

Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you

one thing

When you pray for others, for sure there are people there who are praying for you too and God will bless you with tons of process and the key is your respond towards that
